LOVE this item...and so do our two dogs. As long as we are home and the weather permits, the dogs go in and out as they wish. We have a beagle and a yorkie. We previously had the smaller version but the beagle 'just' fit so the screen ripped. I recommend the large version for all size dogs...sometimes the little one hears something outside and takes off like a bullet...the bigger door makes her exit so much easier. Very sturdy and VERY easy to install.
