What is a Super Premium Pet Food?

Here's an interesting question, what exactly is a premium or super-premium food, and for a mark and the explanation, other than to justify charging more for its products?

We were told by a producer who Nutro Products, Inc. is a leading provider were, of course, super-premium dog and cat food for over 80 years, but do not tell us what they mean by 'super-premium ".

Arden Grange tell us, Arden Grange is a family run company based outside of Brighton, theNatural premium pet food production since 1996.

Thus, I have made better because it is "super premium" and not "reward?

I seriously doubt it is - the fact that nobody seems able to provide an appropriate definition.

They all have a little 'cloudy in the U.S. recently when it was still a couple of issues important to the health of pet food ingredients. To quote the Guardian:

"The value for the purchase of super-premium brands will also be collected inMatter and could damage the bottom line of suppliers. Owners are asking why pay higher prices for the retail sale of food to the prize, even if the cans and bags containing the same ingredients as bargain trade from the likes Wal-Mart and Safeway.

"The recall of about 60 containers of" cuts and gravy "wet pet food revealed that although it seems that consumers in a variety of choices on the shelves of retailers, many brands are made by one whoProducers in three major plants throughout North America. "

It is interesting to note that in the United Kingdom, a handful of manufacturers produce many different brands. Names like Premium Arden Grange, James Wellbeloved and Burns are all the same machines on the same site as an online store own brands.

So it's just marketing hype?

In fact, I do not think it is. Let us examine this in a reasonable manner, assuming that what we are looking at more of an indication of quality --Quality of ingredients and, perhaps, the quality of service. We are looking for a super-premium food, slightly better than the value of supermarket own brand, offering to sell one quarter of the price.

What should we do with a premium product?

They tend to get the following, and experience with the well-known brands would suggest that this is the case

1. You pay more - which is a bit 'in the breeze, I'm afraid. A 15kg Giong Food is a premium to get you back in£ 30 and £ 40 to € 10 or less for the "value" than the alternatives

2.The 'food is hypoallergenic, which probably means that an ingredient is less likely to cause sensitivity problems (although let's not forget that the majority of dogs and cats live very well on cheaper brands-value)

3. The ingredients used are easily identifiable - individual sources of protein and corn, but as an animal or generic cereal products. Premium products tend to avoid beef orWheat, which can be problematic.

4. They eat less - that is the case of some premium brands, such as Burns on rates of feeding can be significantly lower than economy brands because the food is easily digestible.

5. Less waste to pick up - premium brands are digested in order, so there's less to get poo ... This is a great advantage's!

You'll also find other "products-most-added features that provide such as herbs or other products regulated underadvertising, at least health benefits.

Euromonitor reports that the UK market for pet food, with sales staff of one of the chains of the United Kingdom of foodstuffs should be noted that people often purchase premium products are for their pets, but products of value for themselves, advertising with producers too persuade farmers to trade, which appeared in their purchases of pet food. 2006 of food to the animal world's most expensive televisionAdvertise on close to 1 million pounds to support the Sheba cat food brand. Convenience is also a bonus, the acceleration of the decline of the canned format, whereas innovations such as Whiskas and Felix pouches and Olli's non-slip trays are still a good performance. "
